Commissioner
This Barroso character, I don’t trust him one bit. First he’s rejecting the European Parliament’s request for a renewed referral of the much-hated Software Directive on patents. Now he’s going to take some time to re-write (read: obfuscate) the country-of-origin principle, presently written into the services directive. What to expect from a former prime-minister of a country that tries to reduce it’s unemployment rate by migrating it’s workforce to other European countries so they can work at lower wages than locals, undermining social security in all of the EU? Here’s a piece of advice I picked up from a recent documentary: the Huns are at their most dangerous when appearing in retreat.
Meanwhile, the Dutch are stalling the software patents case, pressured by Philips.
