Uit een steekproef van Belgische websites, genomen door Lee & White Consultants, blijkt dat 96,71% niet in orde is met de Belgische wetgeving ter bescherming van de privacy (PDF, 161kB) en de recente wetgeving omtrent elektronische communicatie (PDF, 860kB). Het onderzoek selecteerde 220 Belgische bedrijven die een website hebben. 213 daarvan verwerken persoonlijke gegevens.
